Inspired by the famous Chicago Hancock Building designer Dick Bjork created the Opal Collection of Dining, Hi Dining, Counter Height, Chat, Coffee and Side Tables, complimented by Dining Armchairs, Side Chairs, Bistro Chairs, and Hi Dining Swivel Chairs.
For comfort and conversation the Opal Deepseating Lounge, Swivel Rocker, Loveseat and Sofa, all with the open “O” furniture back feature. Bjork’s use of the finer ipé slats conserves timber while making a transitional design statement.
Ipé (pronounced “ee-pay”) is a large tropical hardwood tree that grows abundantly throughout Central and South America. Wood from this tree is prized for its durability, strength, and its natural resistance to decay, wet conditions, and insect infestation.
